Cengiz (pronounced 'Jengis') is an actor, combat expert and author from London, England. He grew up on the hard streets of London living until aged six in a three bedroom house that was marked for demolition with his disabled parents, older brother and 4 uncles. The tough times where masked by a very loving family and Cengiz found community and focus training in the martial arts and boxing, which he says had a massive impact on his life and kept him clear of drugs and crime. Cengiz now a former world kickboxing champion has trained in the martial arts from the age of 5 originally under Professor Grand Master Shen in a Korean influenced system called Shen Chi Do. Cengiz now a master has also trained in a number of other systems; kickboxing, mma, boxing, muay thai, taekwondo, hapkido, kuksulwon, wing chun and including ancient, eastern and modern weapons. So its not surprising that given his extensive unarmed and armed skills he on occasion assist to prepare actors for their physical roles. (Prepared Rowan Atkinson as Jonny English, Matthew Macfadyen as Athos in The Three Musketeers...) In 2006 Cengiz started to make his transition from fighting into acting and since this time has trained extensively and consistently as becoming a great actor is his focus and passion. Cengiz works on the craft weekly in solitude and in one on one and small group sessions run by directors and coaches and is fortunate to have worked closely with some truly wonderful coaches including: Patrick Tucker, Michael Duval, Valarie Colgan, Barbra Berkeley, Nina Finburgh... As an author, April 2013 saw the release of his first novel 'The Drake Files', renowned illustrator Jason James worked closely with Cengiz for almost a year to turn the story into a 280 page graphic novel. The book is now available on paperback and mobile devices and Drake the short film influenced by the novel has gone out to a number of global film festivals. Summer 2013 will see the release of his first children's book 'Jengito' and Cengiz has written a few feature film treatments that he's currently collaborating with screenwriters to work into scripts that he plans to release via his production company FightMeProductions. Cengiz is currently signed to Beresford Management.
